Please note that if you arrive more than 5 minutes late for any of our appointments, you will be asked to re-book.
Telephone Consultations
Your appointment will be by telephone consultation unless a face to face consultation is required. Reception is able to give advice regarding suitability for a telephone consultation.
It is expected that you, the patient, will be available to talk when the clinician calls. If the call is not answered on two occasions, this will be classed as a missed appointment and another appointment will be necessary. Please be aware we are unable to give you a set time for telephone consultations.
Please bear in mind that patient confidentiality still applies for telephone consultations. The telephone consultation would be for the patient or their legal guardian only. The clinician cannot legally talk to a patient's relative about their health without written consent of the patient.
Photographs
The clinician may request photographs be submitted to the practice to aid in your diagnosis and treatment. Photographs can either be submitted via our email highlightpark.medicalpractice@wales.nhs.uk or via the My Surgery App.
Please do not send photographs to the practice without request from a clinician.
Home visits
Home visits are made only to those who are unable to come to surgery, because of infirmity (bed bound or housebound, significant frailty) or whose medical condition is extrement serious. All requests for visits should be made before 10.00am.
Lack of transport or of childcare facilities are not seen as reasons not to attend the surgery.
